Sadhna began in 1988 as a patchwork training project started by Seva Mandir for 15 women in a rural agriculture village outside of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The project aimed to provide an alternative means of income during a severe drought to help provide job security for women and families in rural farming communities. Today, the organization boasts over 600 women members who are making beautiful products with their trademark tanka stitch embroidery work.
